This position is based in Edinburg, TX, serving a diverse K-12 school environment. The role is offered on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in delivering speech and language therapy to students across K-12 grade levels.
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to students' specific communication needs.
- Monitor and document student progress, preparing relevant reports as directed.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to student development.
- Follow ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality in all student interactions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred.
- Knowledge of speech and language therapy techniques appropriate for school-aged children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
