Speech & Language Pathology Assistant in Cottage Grove, MN
This opportunity seeks two skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to support K-12 students in a dynamic school environment located in Cottage Grove, MN. Both positions are contract-based for the current school year with flexible start dates—Position 1 beginning ASAP through 4/8/26 (Extended School Year included) and Position 2 starting 2/1 through the end of the school year. Each position offers up to full-time hours (37.5 hours per week) with onsite responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language services focused on general elementary needs such as language development and articulation.
- Manage caseloads of approximately 50 students each, spanning various disability areas including developmental cognitive disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.
- Deliver support in center-based programs at two schools catering to special education students.
- Collaborate with speech-language pathologists and educational teams while not directly working on IEP documentation.
- Maintain compliance with prescribed therapy plans and district standards using SpedForms IEP system.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current MDE SLPA License.
- Experience working in school-based speech therapy preferred.
- Understanding of speech-language developmental disorders and interventions.
- Ability to work onsite in a school setting.
- Reliable, organized, and skilled in managing a large caseload.
