Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) - Bethlehem, PA
A contracted position is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a K-12 educational setting located in Bethlehem, PA. This role is designed to assist in implementing speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language intervention to students as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Assist with preparing materials and documentation necessary for therapy sessions.
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate and confidential records.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and administrators to support student communication goals.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of individual education plans (IEPs) as appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience working as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in school settings.
- Ability to support students with diverse communication needs across K-12 grade levels.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Understanding of educational environments and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant or relevant credentials preferred.
