Blazer Jobs is partnering with public school districts throughout Michigan to recruit dedicated and licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for the 2025–2026 school year. Position Overview
SLPs in Michigan schools support students facing speech, language, and communication difficulties that impact their educational success and social development. You will work closely with educators, families, and special education teams to evaluate needs and provide effective therapy aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Openings are currently available in locations such as Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Ann Arbor, Flint, Kalamazoo, and surrounding districts.
Responsibilities:
Perform speech and language evaluations in compliance with Michigan Department of Education (MDE) and IDEA guidelines
Deliver therapy services individually or in groups based on student IEPs
Maintain detailed records and track student progress following state requirements
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams during IEP meetings
Adapt therapy plans as needed to address changing student needs
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
Valid Michigan SLP license
Experience in school or pediatric settings preferred
Familiarity with school-based therapy and IEP processes
Must pass Michigan background checks and fingerprinting
Job Details:
Full-time and part-time positions available
Contract duration: August 2025 – June 2026
