Blazer Jobs is working closely with school districts throughout Texas to hire dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) for the upcoming 2025–2026 academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for credentialed SLPAs who are passionate about helping students improve their communication skills in a school-based setting.
Position Overview
As an SLPA in a Texas public school, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct speech-language services to students. You’ll help implement therapy plans, support data collection, and assist in meeting IEP goals for students with a wide range of communication challenges.
We have openings throughout the state, including in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, Fort Worth, El Paso, and surrounding regions.
Responsibilities:

Provide speech-language therapy sessions as directed by supervising SLP

Follow treatment plans aligned with student IEPs and communication goals

Document student progress and assist with data collection

Prepare therapy materials and organize session plans

Support group and individual therapy sessions within classroom and pull-out settings

Communicate with teachers and staff to support generalization of speech-language skills

Comply with Texas Education Agency (TEA) regulations and district-specific protocols
Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences

Current SLPA license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)

Previous experience working with school-aged children is a plus
-
Understanding of school-based therapy and the IEP process preferred

Must meet Texas school district background check and fingerprinting requirements
