A typical week consists of 37.5 hours, allowing you to dedicate ample time and attention to each student while fostering growth and confidence. Desired Qualifications:
- Current Texas Speech Language Pathologist Assistant license required
- Previous experience as an SLPA, especially in school-based or pediatric settings, is highly valued
- Understanding of assessments, documentation, and IEP processes in educational environments
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to manage caseload and maintain thorough records
- Collaborative spirit to work effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services according to student IEPs
- Work onsite and engage with students individually or in small groups
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes for each student
- Communicate with supervising SLP, educators, and parents about student progress and needs
- Participate in professional development and seek guidance from clinical mentors when needed
