An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a K-12 educational setting. This contract position spans the current school year, providing critical assistance in delivering speech and language therapy services under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing individualized speech and language therapy plans for students.
- Monitor and document student progress during sessions.
- Prepare materials and resources needed for therapy activities.
- Support the speech-language pathologist in conducting assessments and screenings.
- Maintain confidential student records in compliance with school policies.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to promote effective communication strategies.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
- Current SLPA certification or licensure as required by state regulations.
- Experience working with children in a K-12 educational environment preferred.
