A licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed for a full-time, contract position supporting elementary students in a school-based setting. This role spans two elementary schools in the Spring, TX area, requiring a candidate with valid SLPA TDLR licensure who can begin work immediately.
Location: Elementary schools in Spring, Texas (two campuses within North Houston)
Duration: Current School Year with contract through June 4, 2026
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to elementary students under school guidance
- Collaborate with certified speech-language pathologists and educational staff to implement individualized therapy plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
- Participate in team meetings and support inclusion of students in classroom activities
- Adhere to all regulatory and school district requirements for speech therapy services
Qualifications and Experience:
- SLPA license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) is required and must be current
- Prior experience working in school settings preferred, with a strong understanding of pediatric speech-language needs
- Ability to work effectively with young children and collaborate within an educational team
- Reliable transportation and willingness to commute between school campuses
- Able to complete district-required fingerprinting and background checks promptly
