Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant licensure issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) in hand is required; supervision hours for licensure attainment are not available.
- Experience working in school-based settings, preferably elementary schools, supporting speech and language therapy.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and work collaboratively with educators and therapists.
- Reliable transportation and comfortable with commuting between the two North Houston campuses.
Location and Schedule:
- Position is based primarily at an elementary school in Houston with additional support at a nearby elementary school.
- Full-time commitment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Contract duration extends through June 4, 2026, with an immediate start date preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy services to students.
- Implement treatment plans and document student progress in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times.
