Speech Pathologist Assistant in Cypress, TX
A Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to provide support within elementary school settings in the Cypress, TX area. This full-time contract role serves two schools and requires possession of current SLPA TDLR licensure, as supervision hours toward licensure are not available.
Location:
- Elementary schools in North Houston area, including Durkee Elementary and Osborne Elementary School
Position Details:
- Contract duration through June 4, 2026
- 37.5 hours per week, full time
- Immediate start preferred
Responsibilities:
- Assist speech-language pathologists by implementing speech and language therapy plans for elementary students
- Support individual and small group interventions under licensed supervision
- Document student progress and participate in team meetings
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student communication goals
Qualifications:
- SLPA licensure from Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) active and in hand
- Previous school-based SLPA experience preferred
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute between assigned school locations
- Ability to complete district fingerprinting and background check promptly
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable working within busy school environments and coordinating with multiple teams
