Step into an exciting opportunity supporting young learners as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) at an elementary campus. This contract role allows you to make a meaningful impact each day, working alongside experienced professionals to deliver essential speech and language services onsite. Start as soon as possible and continue your assignment through May 2027 in a dynamic educational environment with a robust caseload.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLPA license required
- Previous experience providing school-based speech services is highly valued
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and team members
- Ability to organize, manage, and document services for a caseload of 60-80 elementary students
- Familiarity with special education processes, including evaluations, ARDs (Admission, Review, and Dismissal meetings), and individualized therapy sessions
- Commitment to working exclusively onsite at a single elementary campus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect therapy services to meet individual student IEP goals
- Assist with student evaluations, data collection, and preparation of relevant documentation
- Work collaboratively with a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist to support comprehensive care
- Participate actively in ARD meetings, sharing student progress and recommendations
- Ensure accurate records are maintained for all interactions and therapy sessions
