Speech Pathologist Assistant in Conroe, TX
A part-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available to support elementary-aged students within a school setting in Conroe, TX. This contract role is designed for 20-30 hours per week during the current school year, focusing exclusively on delivering therapy services under supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech therapy assistance to elementary-aged students receiving services for communication disorders
- Support Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) by delivering therapy according to established treatment plans
- Assist with overflow caseloads to ensure timely and effective intervention
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
- Collaborate with SLPs and school staff to support student communication goals
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Experience working with elementary-age children in a school-based or similar setting
- Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Ability to follow established therapy plans and protocols under SLP supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage young learners effectively
- Reliable, organized, and flexible in scheduling to accommodate the part-time hours
Location: Conroe, Texas – Elementary School Environment
