Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant – School-Based Role in Columbus, GA
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) for a full-time opportunity within school districts in the Columbus, GA area. This position is ideal for professionals committed to helping students enhance their communication skills and academic success under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered, applicants must meet all Georgia state and local requirements, including:

An Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field from an accredited program
-
A current and active Georgia SLPA license issued by the Georgia Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
-
Must be under the supervision of a licensed and certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) as required by Georgia state law
-
Documented experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, preferably in a school or pediatric setting

Must pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting clearance per Georgia Department of Education and school district policies
-
Must comply with any additional credentialing or onboarding requirements set by the school district
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide speech and language support services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), under SLP supervision
-
Assist in conducting speech, language, and hearing screenings
-
Prepare therapy materials and assist with documentation of student progress

Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP
-
Maintain accurate records and data collection as required by district and state standards

Collaborate with educators, parents, and therapists to support student communication development
