This role offers an opportunity to work as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in a school setting located in Clovis, NM. You will provide both direct and indirect speech and language services to school-age students, collaborating closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists who will offer ongoing supervision and support. This is an onsite position with travel between multiple school buildings potentially required during the day.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field (Speech Communications or SLPA program with AAS degree)
- Active SLPA license/certification
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with staff, students, and parents, including in high-stress situations
- Ability to deliver services in accordance with individual student IEPs
- Must be able to travel within school sites during the day; virtual work is not available
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services onsite in a school environment
- Collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists for direct supervision and guidance
- Maintain communication and documentation consistent with student needs and IEPs
- Travel between multiple school locations as necessary throughout the workday
