Support Early Childhood students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a K-12 school setting located in Joliet, IL. This contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, offering approximately 32.5 hours per week. The caseload is yet to be determined and will focus on high-need students under the supervision of a Virtual SLP. Experience in school-based SLPA roles is preferred to effectively address the needs of these students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy support to early childhood students.
- Collaborate with supervising Virtual SLP to implement therapy plans.
- Assist with documentation and progress monitoring.
- Work onsite in the school environment, maintaining compliance with state and district policies.
- Adapt interventions to meet individual student needs within the K-12 framework.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Illinois SLPA License.
- Experience working with students in a school setting preferred.
- Ability to manage a variable caseload focused on early childhood intervention.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with supervising SLP and school staff.
- Commitment to working onsite in Joliet, IL, supporting high-need student populations.
