Speech Pathologist Assistant in Amherst, MA
An educational opportunity is available for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work within a K-12 school setting. This contract position spans the current school year and is located in Amherst, MA.
Responsibilities:
- Assist SLPs in providing speech and language services to students with communication disorders.
- Support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy sessions.
- Document student progress and collaborate with educators and families to promote communication development.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Certification as an SLPA or licensure as an SLP.
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in K-12 educational settings.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families.
