School Speech Pathologist Assistant | Chicopee, Massachusetts
This position offers an exciting opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a high school setting. Based in Chicopee, MA, this contract role spans the current school year, providing valuable experience working directly with adolescent learners to enhance their communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist certified speech-language pathologists in implementing therapy plans
- Support students with speech and language development through targeted activities
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and session details
- Collaborate with educators and therapists to create a supportive learning environment
- Participate in meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) goals
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working as an SLPA in a school setting
- Familiarity with speech and language therapy techniques for adolescents
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with students effectively
