An onsite Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) role is available in an elementary school located in Live Oak, CA. This contract position runs for the current school year (CSY) and involves providing supportive speech and language services directly to school-age students. Working under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, you will contribute to effective communication support tailored to individual student needs while collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver both direct and indirect speech and language services aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Collaborate closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists providing assistance in therapeutic interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff, including in stressful or crisis situations.
  • Travel between multiple school buildings during the day, if required, to meet student needs.
  • Maintain compliance with onsite-only service delivery; virtual options are not available.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications or an Associate of Applied Science degree from an SLPA program.
  • Active SLPA certification.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and respond calmly in high-stress situations.
  • Willingness to work exclusively onsite.
