An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support an elementary school setting in Matteson, IL. This contract position is designed for the 2025/2026 school year (CSY), offering a 34-hour workweek with a focus on a caseload of approximately 40-50 elementary students requiring speech and language support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Manage an elementary caseload effectively, tailoring therapy plans to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation compliant with school and state guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Professional Educator’s License (PEL) for Illinois schools, issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
- Previous experience working within school or healthcare environments with pediatric caseloads is preferred.

- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, including a 50-minute lunch break.
