Monolingual: $42–$47/hour (based on experience)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Chicago, IL for the 2025–2026 school year. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct services to students, support therapy plans, and assist in implementing communication interventions across a K–12 educational setting. Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply and will receive enhanced compensation.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech-language services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP

Implement therapy activities and interventions outlined in student treatment plans

Assist with data collection, progress monitoring, and documentation of student performance

Support the SLP in conducting speech-language screenings and classroom observations

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student communication needs

Prepare and organize therapy materials and maintain accurate records

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards

Serve diverse student populations with cultural sensitivity and responsiveness
Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant studies or related field

Valid SLPA license or certification in the state of Illinois

Experience working in a school setting is preferred

Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates preferred for bilingual pay tier

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families in a school environment
