Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) – School-Based
Location: Chicago, IL
Position Type: Full-Time, Contract
School Year: 2025–2026
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join a collaborative school team in the Chicago area for the 2025–2026 school year. This full-time, contract position is a great opportunity to support students’ communication goals in a dynamic and inclusive school environment.
Responsibilities:

Deliver direct speech-language services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist

Assist with the implementation of individualized treatment plans and intervention strategies

Accurately document student progress and maintain service records
-
Collaborate with educators, families, and other support staff to promote student success
Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or higher from an approved SLPA program or equivalent coursework and clinical training

Must hold an active Illinois SLPA license through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)

School-based or pediatric experience preferred
-
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
