Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) – K-12 School Setting
Location: Elizabeth City, NC

This position seeks a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support speech and language services within a K-12 school environment. The SLPA will collaborate closely with certified speech-language pathologists to implement targeted therapy plans, assist with student assessments, and contribute to improving communication skills in children from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering individualized therapy sessions
- Support students in developing speech, language, and communication abilities
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Prepare materials and organize therapy activities under supervision
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student intervention planning
- Follow confidentiality policies and adhere to school district guidelines
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working in a K-12 educational setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills conducive to working with children and school staff
- Ability to follow treatment plans and adjust activities to meet student needs
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and documentation abilities
- Understanding of state and federal educational regulations related to speech therapy
