School Speech Pathologist Assistant | Boston, Massachusetts
Support students' communication development in a K-12 school setting as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) based in Lynn, MA. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY), offering a consistent schedule of 30 hours per week across five days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering individualized therapy to students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Implement treatment plans under supervision, document student progress, and adapt interventions to meet educational goals
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to support student success and adherence to IEP requirements
- Prepare materials and resources needed for therapy sessions and maintain accurate records of student performance
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts SLPA license required
- Experience working within K-12 school environments preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following professional standards and ethics
