Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join a school district in the Blountsville, AL area. This part-time role serves PreK–6th grade students, with a primary focus on younger learners.

Requirements:
Applicants must meet all local and state standards for SLPA practice in Alabama, including:

Current Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (ABESPA) SLPA license
-
Associate’s degree from an accredited SLPA program or equivalent coursework approved by ABESPA
-
Completion of supervised clinical experience hours as required by ABESPA
-
Adherence to ASHA scope of practice guidelines for SLPAs
-
Background check and fingerprint clearance (per district policy)
Key Responsibilities:

Support speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy services

Implement therapy activities and strategies under direct supervision

Track and document student progress toward communication goals

Prepare therapy materials and assist with scheduling

Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student success
