Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) – Blountsville, AL

Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join a school district in the Blountsville, AL area. This part-time role serves PreK–6th grade students, with a primary focus on younger learners.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Part-time

  • Grade Levels: PreK–6th grade (primarily early childhood)

  • Location: School district in Blountsville, AL

Requirements:
Applicants must meet all local and state standards for SLPA practice in Alabama, including:

  • Current Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (ABESPA) SLPA license

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited SLPA program or equivalent coursework approved by ABESPA

  • Completion of supervised clinical experience hours as required by ABESPA

  • Adherence to ASHA scope of practice guidelines for SLPAs

  • Background check and fingerprint clearance (per district policy)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy services

  • Implement therapy activities and strategies under direct supervision

  • Track and document student progress toward communication goals

  • Prepare therapy materials and assist with scheduling

  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student success
