A school-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to provide maternity leave coverage from January 5, 2026, through May 28, 2026, supporting PreK through Grade 12 students in the Idaho Springs/Evergreen, CO area. This contract position operates within a K-12 school setting, following a 4-day school week schedule, Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, totaling 32 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services under supervision to a caseload of approximately 25-30 students
- Address articulation needs (approximately 80% of caseload) and language needs (20%)
- Support one student utilizing an AAC device
- Collaborate with school professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports consistent with school policies
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working with PreK-12 student populations in school settings preferred
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable managing a diverse caseload, including students with AAC devices
