A Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available for a contract assignment in the Baltimore area, MD. The role supports elementary students from PreK through 5th grade across two schools: Magnolia Elementary (3 days per week) and Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days per week). This opportunity starts on February 16, 2026, with an expected end date of May 29, 2026, and may be extended to cover Extended School Year (ESY) services for 4 weeks in July 2026.
Location:
- Magnolia Elementary, Joppatowne, MD (3 days/week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
- Prospect Mill Elementary, Bel Air, MD (2 days/week: Monday, Wednesday)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language support to elementary students (PreK – 5th grade) under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans and document student progress.
- Collaborate with school staff to develop effective communication strategies.
- Maintain compliance with school district policies including background checks and credentialing requirements.
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant.
- Completion of all state-required clearances, including House Bill 486 background check and fingerprinting.
- Ability to commit to a 37.5-hour workweek split between two schools.
- Experience working with elementary-age students preferred but not required; new professionals are encouraged to apply.
