School Speech Pathologist Assistant | Bel Air, Maryland
A skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to provide full-time support within an elementary K-5 school setting located in the Baltimore area. The position covers two schools, with three days per week at one elementary school and two days per week at another. This assignment runs from mid-February through late May, with the potential to extend through an additional four-week summer session.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering speech and language services to students in grades PreK through 5.
- Support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide direct therapy under supervision, document progress, and maintain related paperwork.
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student communication goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure as an SLPA.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations with speech and language needs.
Location and Schedule:
- Based in Bel Air, MD, serving schools in the Baltimore area.
- Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
