A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available in the Baltimore area to support elementary students in K-5 grades. This contract opportunity requires on-site work at two schools, providing essential speech therapy services to young learners. The assignment runs from mid-February through late May, with the possibility of extension into the Extended School Year program in July.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech therapy services to elementary students (PreK-5) at Magnolia Elementary (3 days per week) and Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days per week).
- Collaborate with licensed speech-language pathologists and educational staff to implement individualized education plans.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with professional standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to intervention strategies tailored to student needs.
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Experience working with school-aged children, ideally in elementary settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Ability to work full-time onsite, Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse speech and language challenges.
Location: Schools located in the Baltimore region, specifically Magnolia Elementary and Prospect Mill Elementary.
