A Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available to support PreK through 5th grade students in two elementary schools within the Baltimore area. This full-time contract role spans the current school year with potential extension into the Extended School Year (ESY) program in July 2026. The position provides a collaborative environment focused on fostering communication development among young learners in Grades PreK–5.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists
- Support individualized education plans (IEPs) by implementing therapy goals tailored to student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and session notes
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure continuity of care
- Balance caseload between two schools, providing services three days per week at one site and two days at the other
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maryland Professional License as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant required
- Experience working with children in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families in diverse educational environments
- Flexibility and reliability to maintain schedule across multiple sites
Location and Schedule:
- Assignment in schools located in the Baltimore area, MD
- Magnolia Elementary (3 days per week) and Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days per week)
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Contract dates: February 16, 2026 – May 29, 2026, with possible extension through July for ESY
