Role Summary
As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you will work closely with a supervising SLP to provide therapy services to students with a variety of communication needs. You will assist with treatment implementation, progress monitoring, and collaborative support to help students achieve their goals. Compensation is based on experience and credentials.
Key Responsibilities
• Implement speech and language therapy activities as directed by the supervising SLP
• Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication goals
• Assist with data collection and progress monitoring
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
• Prepare therapy materials and maintain organized therapy spaces
• Support students in individual and group therapy settings
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
Qualifications
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Active state SLPA license or eligibility
• Experience in a school-based setting preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
