Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Arvada, CO
Seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a K-12 school setting in Arvada, CO. This contract position offers a flexible schedule of 2 days per week, supporting students with speech and language needs throughout the academic calendar year (CSY).
Responsibilities:
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Provide direct support to students in individual and group sessions.
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other school staff to support student communication goals.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) discussions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience as an SLPA in a school or healthcare setting.
- Familiar with K-12 educational environments and the unique needs of school-aged children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow treatment plans and work effectively under supervision.
- Relevant certification or licensure as required by state regulations.
