School-Based Speech Pathology Assistant | San Dimas, California
A K-12 school in San Dimas, CA is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students’ speech and language development. This contract position is for the current school year (CSY) and involves working directly within the school environment to assist speech-language pathologists in delivering high-quality intervention services.
Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy plans as directed by the licensed speech-language pathologist
- Monitor and document student progress and performance
- Assist in preparing materials and resources for therapy sessions
- Support individual and group sessions in compliance with school policies and procedures
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and clinicians to facilitate student success
Qualifications/Experience Desired:
- Valid SLPA certification or credential required
- Experience working in a K-12 school setting preferred
- Familiarity with speech-language disorders and intervention strategies appropriate for school-aged children
- Ability to follow therapy plans and document accurately
- Strong communication and organizational skills
