School-Based Speech Therapist Assistant - Amherst, Massachusetts
This opportunity is for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support an elementary school in Amherst, MA. Serving primarily students in grades 4 through 6, with some middle and high school students, you will provide essential therapeutic assistance to a caseload of 52 students in a dynamic school setting. This contract position runs from January 19, 2026, through June 15, 2026, offering a structured 35-hour workweek across five days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering speech and language therapy to students
- Support individualized treatment plans for students in grades 4-6, as well as select middle and high school students
- Document student progress and maintain accurate caseload records
- Collaborate with educators and therapists to ensure integrated support across the educational environment
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license in Massachusetts is required
- Experience working within school settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with school-aged children
