Speech Therapist Assistant in Woodbridge, VA
This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position serving K-12 students within a public school district located approximately 45 minutes south of Washington, DC. This contract role begins January 5, 2026, and concludes May 29, 2026, with full-time hours Monday through Friday (37.5 hours/week). Part-time candidates may be considered if able to work at least 20 hours per week.
Key Qualifications and Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication Disorders
- Registration with the Speech Board by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP); Virginia does not license SLPAs
- Experience in school settings preferred but not required
- Flexibility to fill in for an existing SLP and adapt to role deployment as determined by the district
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language support services under the direct supervision of an SLP
- Assist in delivering therapy and intervention plans to students as assigned
- Document student progress and collaborate with the SLP and educational team
- Adapt to evolving caseload needs within multiple school assignments as required
Location: Woodbridge, VA area (Washington DC metropolitan vicinity)

Work schedules are Monday-Friday with potential for part-time arrangements. Compensation is commensurate with experience and ranges from $32 to $44 per hour based on tenure in the field.
