Pediatric School-Based Speech Pathology Assistant | Alturas, California
A full-time or part-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available within a K–12 public school setting in Alturas, CA, for the 2025–2026 school year. This role offers the opportunity to provide impactful speech therapy services that support student communication development in a dynamic education environment.
Responsibilities include delivering individual and small-group therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). The SLPA will implement treatment plans targeting articulation, language, fluency, and social communication skills, while tracking and documenting student progress. Collaboration with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers is essential to support IEP implementation and ensure compliance with district and state guidelines.
Qualifications for this position include an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited SLPA program and an active state SLPA license or registration. Candidates must be able to work under both direct and indirect SLP supervision and demonstrate strong communication and organizational abilities. While prior school-based experience is preferred, it is not required.
