Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are needed to provide specialized support to preschool-aged children with speech and language needs within a variety of early childhood educational settings. These contract roles serve children ages 3 to 5 with special needs, across multiple counties, including Adams, York, and Franklin, Pennsylvania. The positions are aligned with the preschool stretch calendar, totaling 188 workdays per year with a caseload goal of 55 students by year-end.
Locations and Settings:
- Adams County – base office at 65 Billerbeck St, New Oxford, PA
- York County – based at the York Learning Center, 300 E Seventh Ave, York, PA
- Franklin County – located at 2397 Loop Rd, Chambersburg, PA
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group speech-language therapy in preschool special education classrooms, Head Start programs, PreK counts, daycares, and community preschools.
- Provide services to ‘walk-in’ students brought by parents for direct therapy.
- Attend weekly paperwork and IEP meetings (half day per week).
- Maintain travel between multiple educational locations within the assigned county.
- Work 35 hours per week, with travel time included in hours.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support child development goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid PA Speech-Language Pathologist certification.
- Holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is strongly preferred.
- Experience in early intervention and preschool special education settings is highly desirable.
- Candidates may be Clinical Fellows (CF), but agency supervision costing $2,000 will be required.
- SLPAs are not supported; VOCO services are not utilized in these programs.
