About the Opportunity
We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year in Gibraltar, Michigan! This is a fantastic opportunity for a full-time SLP to make a significant impact on the communication development and academic success of our students. We're committed to supporting our team and are open to Clinical Fellows (CFs) seeking a comprehensive supervised experience, as well as providing virtual support as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations for a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students (TBD).
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and evidence-based therapy plans.
- Providing direct and indirect therapy services to students in various settings (individual, small group, classroom-based).
- Collaborating effectively with teachers, parents, special education staff, and other multidisciplinary team members.
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of evaluations, progress notes, IEPs, and other required reports.
- Participating actively in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights and recommendations.
- Adapting therapy activities and strategies to suit the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
- Staying current with best practices, research, and advancements in school-based speech-language pathology.
- For CFs: Receiving consistent and comprehensive supervision from an experienced SLP, fulfilling all ASHA and state requirements for certification.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid and active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License in the state of Michigan.
- Michigan Teaching Certificate is required.
- Open to Clinical Fellows (CFs) seeking their CCCs.
- Ability to adapt to and utilize virtual support tools and strategies as needed.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- A genuine commitment to fostering inclusive educational environments and empowering students to reach their full communication potential.
