Schedule: Full-Time, 10-Month School Year
Reports To: Director of Special Education / Site Administrator
Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Speech-Language Pathologist to join our Woodland school district team. This role offers the chance to work with a diverse student population, delivering individualized therapy services that address speech, language, and communication disorders. The ideal candidate is collaborative, adaptable, and passionate about helping students thrive in academic and social environments.
Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive speech and language assessments using a variety of tools and methods.

Provide direct intervention through individual and group therapy sessions.

Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) collaboratively with families, teachers, and related service providers.

Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.

Maintain timely and thorough documentation consistent with district standards and legal requirements.

Offer consultation and support to educators and families regarding communication strategies and accommodations.

Facilitate professional development opportunities for school staff as needed.

Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), Clinical Fellows, and interns when applicable.

Stay current with best practices, state and federal laws, and advances in speech-language pathology relevant to schools.
Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field from an accredited program

Valid California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential or eligibility for credentialing

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows accepted with supervision

Valid California license from the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board or eligibility

Experience in school-based or pediatric speech-language pathology preferred

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education laws

Ability to manage caseload and meet compliance requirements efficiently
