Providing speech-language pathology services in a dynamic K-12 school setting requires passion, expertise, and flexibility. This opportunity is for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Virginia SLP license to support students in a full-time or part-time capacity within the Washington DC area. The position is contract-based for the current school year, with a start date as soon as possible and an end date in late May 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services to elementary and middle school students within a caseload of no more than 55 students (typically around 50)
  • Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports aligned with educational goals
  • Manage assignments at one or two schools, ensuring impactful and consistent service delivery
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings as required

Qualifications:

  • Active Virginia SLP licensure is required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellowship candidates considered with supervision provided
  • Willingness to work onsite only — virtual or hybrid models are not available
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule (37.5 hours/week) preferred; part-time candidates are considered with minimum 20 hours/week commitment
  • Experience within school settings is a plus but not required; openness to candidates eager to support student communication needs
  • Open to considering resumes from Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), although focus is primarily on SLPs

Location: Woodbridge, VA – on-site only
Schedule: School calendar year contract (approximately through May 29, 2026)
