This full-time, contract position offers an opportunity to provide speech-language pathology services within a K-12 school setting located in Fairfax, Virginia. Candidates will serve a caseload primarily consisting of elementary and middle school students, delivering essential speech and language support to help enhance their communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide screening, assessment, and therapy for speech and language disorders in students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reports.
  • Deliver services onsite; no remote or hybrid options available.
  • Manage caseloads with a maximum of 55 students, typically around 50.
  • Coordinate with school administrators to ensure compliance with district policies.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required; candidates eligible for Clinical Fellowship will be considered with supervision provided.
  • Experience working with school-age children, particularly in elementary and middle school settings, preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work at one or two assigned school locations, with placements discussed during the interview process.

Position Details:

  • Contract duration: Current School Year, ending May 29, 2026.
  • Full-time 37.5 hours per week; part-time considered for candidates available for at least 20 hours weekly.
  • Onsite position only, no VOCO (virtual care) or hybrid arrangements.
  • Caseloads vary per assignment with no more than two schools per SLP.
  • Location: Fairfax, Virginia (Washington DC Area).
