A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Apopka, FL, supporting K-12 students across multiple private schools. This contract position runs through the 2025-2026 school year, with an immediate start and assignments lasting until May 27, 2026. The role is mainly itinerant, providing services at a variety of local private schools, offering a diverse and rewarding work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to students from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Provide evaluations, individualized treatment plans, and progress monitoring.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school administrators to support student communication development.
- Manage caseload efficiently across multiple school locations.
- Utilize strong knowledge of speech and language disorders to implement effective interventions.
- Attend IEP meetings and participate in team discussions as required.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a Florida State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA Certification (SLP-CCC) is required.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a closely related field.
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred.
- Reliable transportation for itinerant service delivery to several private schools.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Will not consider Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) at this time.
