Pediatric School SLP Hartford, CT
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized support within an elementary school setting in Hartford, CT. This leave replacement contract role offers the opportunity to positively impact students’ communication skills and contribute to an inclusive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ speech and language needs.
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote inclusive learning.
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress, adapting strategies to maximize outcomes.
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students with diverse needs in a school setting.
Qualifications and Experience:
- State Speech Language Pathologist certification required.
- Experience working with students exhibiting a range of speech and language disorders, especially in pediatric and school-based environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families.
- Relevant clinical fellowship year (CFY) experience preferred.
