A temporary opportunity exists for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide onsite services within an educational setting. The position starts January 5, 2026, and continues through April 2026, covering a leave contract. This role involves working primarily with an elementary school caseload, along with approximately 10 high school students in the district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language assessments, therapy, and progress monitoring for students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and support staff.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state standards.
- Communicate effectively with educational teams to support student success.
- Adhere to VA state licensure requirements and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist license (SLP).
- Experience working with school-age children, preferably in both elementary and high school settings.
- Strong understanding of educational speech pathology practices.
- Ability to work onsite and manage a caseload efficiently within the designated hours.
Location & Schedule:
- Position is located in Purcellville, VA, serving both elementary and high school students.
- 7.5-hour days with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, totaling 35 hours per week.
