This opportunity is for multiple Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide on-site services in a school district located in Newark, DE, for the 2026-2027 school year. These full-time contract positions offer the chance to work directly with students across early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school settings. The roles start in late August, with the possibility of beginning earlier for professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to General Education and special programs students.
- Manage caseloads varying from itinerant preschool services to light high school caseloads with district evaluation support.
- Conduct evaluations and provide support tailored to students’ individual needs.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
Qualifications:
- Active Delaware State Speech-Language Pathology License required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or School SLP certification preferred.
- Strong evaluation skills, especially for higher-grade assignments, are highly desirable.
- Commitment to working on-site with no virtual or assistant positions.
- Ability to manage caseloads in diverse school environments, including preschools and secondary schools.
- Experience working with children across various education levels is beneficial.
Work Details:
- Monday through Friday schedule with paid 30-minute lunch.
- Hours vary slightly depending on assignment, generally between 7:15 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
- Positions include itinerant roles supporting early intervention and general education settings.
- Contract runs from August 26, 2026, to June 10, 2027.
