Pediatric School Speech Therapist | New Castle, Delaware
A Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist is needed for a K-12 school located in New Castle, DE. This onsite, contract role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of students with complex needs, providing direct therapy, assessments, testing, and comprehensive evaluation reports. In addition, the role includes collaborating with IEP teams through meetings and writing detailed IEP documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech therapy services to students across K-12 with varying and complex communication needs
- Conduct thorough assessments and testing to evaluate speech, language, and communication skills
- Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with school teams
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering professional insights and recommendations
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports consistent with school and state requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- DE Speech Language Pathologist license mandatory
- Experience working within K-12 school settings, particularly with pediatric populations
- Certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) preferred
- Comfort with complex caseload management and multitasking various roles (therapy, assessments, paperwork)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
