Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist in Wilmington, DE
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available working with a middle school caseload in Wilmington, DE. This contract position spans from approximately April 14, 2026, through the end of the school year on June 16, 2026, with the option for summer work.
This role is ideal for a certified SLP with experience in educational settings, particularly with middle school-aged students, and a passion for supporting pediatric speech and language development.
Key qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience in school-based SLP services, specifically with middle school students
- Background in pediatric speech-language pathology and healthcare settings
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Strong ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and education teams
Primary responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services tailored to middle school students' needs
- Assess, diagnose, and document speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with educators and other professionals to develop and monitor IEPs
- Maintain accurate records and report progress regularly
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs in an educational environment
