Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students across various age groups, supporting their communication development and academic success. This is an on-site position requiring a strong commitment to in-person collaboration and direct student interaction.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with communication needs.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet the diverse needs of students.
Caseload Needs: The caseload for this position will includeone of the following:
- Early Year Program (2-3 sections): Working with our youngest learners to address emergent communication skills.
- Meadowood Program (1 section): Providing services to secondary students within our Meadowood program, focusing on their specific communication goals.
- Elementary (1-2 sections): Supporting elementary-aged students with a range of speech and language needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid Delaware SLP Licensure is required.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- School-based experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
