Job Responsibilities
As a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist, your responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations.

Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
-
Providing direct therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals.
-
Monitoring student progress and maintaining thorough documentation.
-
Consulting with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student communication needs.
-
Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to student success through evidence-based practices.
-
Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be considered, including:

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program.

Current Delaware Speech-Language Pathologist License issued by the Delaware Board of Speech/Language Pathologists, Audiologists, and Hearing Aid Dispensers.

Delaware Department of Education Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain).
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred; CFY candidates may be considered.

Previous school-based experience is preferred but not required.

Must pass a background check and fingerprint clearance as required by the school district and state law.
