- Do you have a "home base" located 75+ miles from Williamstown, VT?
- Do you plan to periodically return to this home base?
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Vermont Department of Education certification for SLPs
- 6 months of pediatric clinical experience preferred
- 25-26 school year
- 30 hours a week
- Applicants will be spending time between two neighboring districts in WIlliamstown and in the village of Washington, VT
- Weekly take-home pay of $1,350 $ to $1,650 (assuming federal taxes for single filer)
- Health, vision and dental insurance
- Paid sick time, accrued at the rate of 1 hour for every 52 hours worked
- Utilize evidence-based interventions to support students in their communications development
- Evaluate new referrals and current students by using a mix of scored assessments and informal observations to determine student needs for Speech services
- Provide input as an SLP for differing levels of intervention, from instructional and remedial plans, IEPs, 504 plans to Educational Support Team (EST) plans
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team--consisting of School Psychologists, Special Education teachers, Related Service Providers, and Social Workers--to support a multi-pronged approach to instructional and behavioral support
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to introduce instructional activities or strategies to support speech goals outside of therapy sessions
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with children with a range of communication needs
- Ability to be a team player
- Ability to prioritize and keep track of deadlines
