A K-12 educational opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide onsite FMLA coverage in a school setting in Allentown, PA. This contract position is anticipated to start on January 5, 2026, and will tentatively conclude on April 3, 2026, depending on the return of the district SLP.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to a caseload of approximately 60 students
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Administer assessments, monitor student progress, and maintain detailed documentation
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and school personnel regarding therapy goals and progress
- Adhere to district policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certification/license appropriate for school settings
- Experience working in K-12 educational environments, preferably in school-based speech therapy
- Knowledge of speech-language development and disorders applicable to diverse student populations
- Ability to manage a full caseload effectively and demonstrate flexibility during the contract period
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Position located in the Allentown, PA area
